Talk:Emblem of Italy

Hi, this is virtually duplicated in Coat of Arms of Italy. However, as this is a more complete article, and since Coat of Arms of the Italian Republic is a more correct title for the article, I suggest we merge the other one here. --Kunal (talk) 14:25, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Since no one complained, I did the merge.--Panairjdde 16:50, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oakish pedantry[edit]

We should probably specify the variety of oak tree native to (or at least common in) Italy. It is quite different in form to the English oak, even to my ignorant eyes. ±Ian Spackman 16:26, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Revert[edit]

I have reverted User:172.132.237.28s good faith edits. The correct (Latin) blazon is dexter and sinister; destra e sinistra are Italian words. Heraldry is described from the bearer's perspective, thus the dexter (right) side is to the viewers left. Chrisieboy (talk) 12:35, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
