Dr E Hourany is/was internationally known in his area and had a great impact on the development of the Faculty of Sciences in the Lebanese University in the Seventies and early Eighties. He also had an essential role in the GRAAL project (Nuclear Physics) up to the last days of his life. All constructive contributions on both topics will be highly appeciated. Fayrouz A
