Wow. Will be a B as soon as it's published, at the very least. íslenskur fellibylur #12 (samtal) 22:09, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Forget GA, I think this should be going for FA...I'd up this to A-class if I could unilaterally make the decision... CrazyC83 06:03, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Hurricanehink (talk) 17:45, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FA updates needed[edit]

Hurricanehink, someone (unsigned, undated) wrote at User:Dweller/Featured Articles that haven't been on Main Page:

Title inconsistent with opening words. Article opens with what sounds like a big claim, but is puzzlingly small (worst in four years) so on reflection must be a comment about it not being so bad... but it's worded like it's dreadful. Just not sure what it's supposed to mean. Worse, the claim doesn't appear to be in the main text, so is unreferenced. "light wind shear"=? "average track forecast error" =? "flood potential statement"=? Huge, lightly referenced paragraphs. The before and after photos are perplexing: the top one seems to show flooding on the right of the picture, but the bottom one seems to show sand (dumped by a storm?) along the seafront properties. Or is it that the storm blew that sand away?

I also see some MOS issues. Are you able to update this article to FA standards, or should it go to Featured article review? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:42, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you User:SandyGeorgia. I did a few edits, and I'll do more in the coming days. Of course, if anyone feels like my work is insufficient, I can't stop FAR - this has been featured for 13 years, so the writing feels a bit stale. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:20, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Hink ... I am not too worred, just processing through the Dweller page. If you get this back up to snuff, please remove it from Wikipedia:Featured article review/notices given. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:23, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@SandyGeorgia:, I went through the entire article and spiffied it up, tightening up the prose and adding non-breaking spaces. I also rewrote the lead. I removed it from that FAR notices page, as a result. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:33, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Tropical cyclones which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 15:04, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
