Assessment[edit]

Exceptionally good article, and this is probably close enough to send to FAC (any small issues presented there should be easily fixed). I've set it at A-class in the meantime, unless there are any objections. --Coredesat 03:14, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No objections here, I'm sending it away. Hurricanehink (talk) 03:17, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone needs to check the US naval Observatory damage listed in the Washington DC section. Makes no sense, since the USNO is the VP's house and has no water access. Perhaps they meant the US Naval research Lab or Anacostia, or the Washington Navy Yard--those are actually on the Potomac/Anacostia rivers. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.114.139.0 (talk) 02:34:42, August 18, 2007 (UTC)

Out of curiosity, why is this omitting Virginia? Virginia did get hit pretty hard by Isabel.

Virginia's effecs has its own article. Mitchcontribs 17:52, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger[edit]

I think that this section should be merged with the "Hurricane Isabel" article. It's very well-written, but this and articles on the hurricane's effects in places like Baltimore, D.C., and Virginia should be put in subcategories under "effects of the hurricane" under the general article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.56.25.218 (talk) 23:29:17, August 18, 2007 (UTC)

...Yea, I disagree, seeing that if all of them were merged the Isabel article would be over 200 kb long. Of course, there's also the fact that the Isabel sub-series is a featured topic with three featured articles and the rest good articles. So... rather tham proposing to merge featured articles, please find other articles to worry about. Thanks! Hurricanehink (talk) 14:32, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, simply due to summary style. Also, the Hurricane Isabel article has the proper {{main}} article links, so it's not like these articles are invisible. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 18:17, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
