"UCL, Imperial College London, Queen Mary, University of London, King's College London, and LSE are leading centres of research and stand alongside MIT, University of California, Berkeley and other US universities in terms of international reputation."
Really? It's nice that QMUL and KCL think that, but realistically in terms of international (and domestic for that matter) reputation UCL, Imperial and the LSE are in a different league to them. Cite a THES league table if you like, but a cursory review of other international league tables dosn't support this claim. 91.143.78.26 (talk) 12:30, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In point of fact, King's College, London does in fact consistently rank in the top 100 world Universities in the USNWR, QES and THES rankings, and often ranks in the top 50. I would agree that Queen Mary is not quite at this level. Eric w in cherry hill nj (talk) 02:15, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be called Higher Education in London.[edit]

This article is almost entirely about higher education. While it is important to have an article which addresses this topic (or subtopic), the article ignores the many tens of thousands of teachers and 1.12 million students who live in London and receive a state sector education. It mentions a few famous independent/"public" schools, but not one of the more than a thousand state-sector or religious schools Londoners send their children to. Information about British schools in Japanese[edit]

I stumbled upon http://www.thejapaneseschool.ltd.uk/londonhoshuko/gaiyo/pdf/finchery/F%28NW%29.pdf - http://www.webcitation.org/6XIfaBW4R - It seems to be a listing of local schools in London in Japanese. If more information is added to the article about Japanese students attending British schools and/or someone wants to translate the info into Japanese, this list may be very useful.
