was he really bishop of Lindisfarne?[edit]

I think there is some confusion here. Is it possible that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egbert_of_Lindisfarne was the bishop? And Ecgberht of Ripon never become bishop, "only a monk"? He is also not mentioned here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop_of_Durham Qwertzu111111 (talk) 19:15, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It appears you are correct; Ecgberht of Ripon was never Bishop of Lindisfarne. Manannan67 (talk) 16:55, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
