Misuse of "Time Zone"[edit]

This article uses the term "Time Zone" improperly. See the Time Zone article, and any good English dictionary. 82.163.24.100 (talk) 17:58, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ciscophone EEST timezone rule[edit]

I know what Wikipedia is not, but to fellow VoIP admins, here's the formal rule for EEST for Cisco/Linksys/Sipura hardphones and adapters:

start=3/-1/7/03,end=10/-1/7/04,save=+1

You may need to adjust hours of effect (03/04) and replace commas ,with semicolons ; for some devices. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sashman (talkcontribs) 16:44, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Specify Summer[edit]

Someone please specify "used during summer" because it's 11 months long in Cyprus and 11 days long in Finland!
Thanks,

Time at which EEST starts and finishes[edit]

Central_European_Summer_Time#Period_of_observation (citing History of legal time in Britain) says "Since 1996 European Summer Time has been observed between 1:00 UTC (2:00 CET and 3:00 CEST) on the last Sunday of March and 1:00 UTC on the last Sunday of October; previously the rules were not uniform across the European Union." IOW on the last Sunday of March the hour following 1:00 AM in EU countries observing GMT does not happen, and the hour following 2:00 AM in EU countries observing CET does not happen. Does this mean that in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (being the EU countries observing Eastern European Time) it is the hour following 3:00 AM which does not happen?
