Original Site[edit]

There's some doubt that the original strip was next to Doomben. Footage of the Southern Cross landing in 1928 shows a small hill close by. This is 1 or 2 kms further northwards from the old 22/04 runway, of WW2 vintage. Probably where the new canal is now.220.244.78.245 (talk) 07:03, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
