Groucho[edit]

On the Groucho Marx page, it's claimed that Groucho's moustache was censored in the American version? Is that true, because he looks exactly like Groucho Marx originally...

Yes, that is true. In the seven Dark Horse releases, Groucho's ("Felix") mustache was removed. Grr.
Man, happy I live in Sweden, and could read the Swedish translations, where we are quite liberal with such depictions.

I am Italian and I read Dylan Dog a lot: 1) Are you sure that Dylan Dog was actually married to Lilie Connolly? In issue 121 the marriage occurs in an onirical passage. 2) Claudio Villa didn't draw any story, he just made covers.

Foreign editions[edit]

Dylan Dog is the typical personage who succeeds to find the rhetorical and the moral in every situation, also daily criticizing the way of life strongly odierno discovering then that the ill-famed “incubi” or “monster” are persons that there are next every day and, sometimes, are not much fantastic, but real and dangerous. Taking example from he we could defeat our “monster” daily by themselves and without to pay 50 pounds to the day more expenses.

Dylan Dog and Rupert Everett[edit]

Rupert Everett's page says that Everett was an inspiration for Sclavi's creation Dylan Dog. I wonder how this is possible, considering that Everett was largely unknown in 1986, when DD was first published. Any thoughts? --82.207.219.3 19:32, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can we get a source on the claim though? I am also curious about the Dellamorte Dellamore mention - if I read it correctly the character appeared in Dylan Dog after he appeared in the novel. Do we have any information on whether this was deliberate homage and if there is an actual link between the film and the comic (and not just with the novel? Dylan Dog and alcohol[edit]

On the sentence "many of the most entertaining moments in the comic occur when Groucho forces him to take shots." is completely false. Dylan Dog never drinks alcohol and has never been shown drinking in any of the episodes (apart from when showing flashbacks of his past as an alcoholic).


Not true. As an ex-reader I recall at least one issue where the character is depicted while drinking alcohol as a consequence of particularly upsetting situations in which he get involved during the story. Chiaverotti[edit]

Chiaverotti doesn't write Dylan anymore. The last number he wrote was number 205. Also, the series celebrated 20 years of publishing. Because of that, the number 241/242 were both in color, by Paola Barbato and Brunu Brindizi.
