A sentence or two on the Ducktown Basin Museum should be added with appropriate citations.

When I visited Ducktown two decades ago, I was amazed at how much recovery of the forest there had been at the edges of the Cooper Basin. The pictures and maps at the Museum show that the deforestation caused by the cooper mining and smelting had been much more widespread. If citations can be found on both the ecological devastation and recovery, this would be a fascinating section to add to the article.

I may have found out about Ducktown from an article, map (satellite image?) in the National Geographic Magazine. Best Lentower (talk) 17:54, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
