I've never heard the term drum clamp, and Google [1] gives me 231,00 ghits but on the first page all but one of them (http://www.vintagedrum.com/category/Hardware-New-Hardware-Clamps-Brackets/brand/Gibraltar) refer to an accessory for a forklift or similar, i.e. wrong sort of drum and nothing to do with percussion of any sort.
So the term does have some currency, but the current redirect to drum probably doesn't reflect its primary usage. Perhaps a two-way DAB at least? Hmmmm...
I do have a couple of devices that are drum clamps in this sense, but the local term I'm familiar with is universal grabber, I think that term was even on the now-discarded packaging of a Gibraltar clamp I bought a while ago. Indispensible! Andrewa (talk) 18:27, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
