Stylistic changes[edit]

This page reads more like a conversational obituary rather than an encyclopedic entry - perhaps this is because it draws largely on obituaries as sources. While these are fine to use as sources, of course, the language could be more neutral. The article needs to also be split up into different sections, such as early life, career and so on. Can't open reference[edit]

One of the articles cited in the external links is on a database that I need to pay to access. Can anyone with access please check the source? Since there are very few internal links, and because of the style of the writing, I worry that the article may potentially be a copyright violation, but I have no way of verifying this because I cannot access the external link. Rewrote Page and Added Citations[edit]

The previous version of this page was, essentially, M. Susan Lindee's article published in New Genetics word-for-word. I rewrote the page and added citations. I tried to keep the same format and honor spirit of the original page, but edited content to match the secondary sources I found. Any content left off the page was inadvertent or I could not find reliable secondary sources. The page could be improved by adding images. Also, I couldn't find a secondary source that described Nelkin's testimony at the McLean v. Arkansas trial specifically - only that she testified at an Arkansas trial. I included the items previously in the "external links" section in the references list, so didn't think it was necessary to keep that section. The exception was a link to an external website purportedly discussing the Arkansas trial, but the link failed when I tried it. Additional edits to the page using reliable, secondary sources are welcome. SojoQ (talk) 16:58, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
