"ye"?[edit]

Why does the name of this article use "ye" instead of "the"? The "y" is actually the form of the archaic glyph "thorn" (not "y") and stands for the modern "th". I will leave this comment here for a while and if there is no discussion, I will come back and change the name of the article. Ogram (talk) 18:05, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I believe when I created the wiki article, I used the exact form present in the earlier primary source reference to "Dorcas ye Blackmore." There was another academic article using the exact early quote as well, since her last name is unknown. Swampyank (talk) 14:25, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
