Digicel written like an advertisment?[edit]

I have been updating the Digicel page and have seen it stated as written like an advertisment. I have read over it recently and do not believe this to be the case as only fact is stated. Can anybody see anything that makes this look more of a biased article? I have taken down the advertisement warning as a result however if anyone sees differently please explain why.

I'm the one who originally put the tag up. It looks much better now to me and I agree with removing the tag. There still seems to be a lack of sourcing for a sizable part of the article. Company press releases and websites should be avoided (see WP:RS). Notmyrealname 17:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes i agree that company press releases should be avoided and will look for further sourcing material from independent carribbean, european and american media groups. if i can find any to replace the Digicel releases already sourced on this entry I will.

Old tag line[edit]

The "Expect More, Get More" is ancient history, don't think it's used at all anymore. They are more into "Bigger is Better", something like that. Gentleman wiki (talk) 02:04, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

To any administrators - I have noticed that an IP address pertaining to Digicel Jamaica - 173.225.250.185 - has been making edits to the company page and to the page of the company's owner, Denis O'Brien, without declaring this, therefore it is contravention of the Wikipedia guidelines on Conflict of Interest (WP:COI). Thought it would be best to bring it to your attention as I know this is strictly prohibited. Best Hlebster (talk) 16:03, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cable And Wireless Sponsored Cricket in the Caribbean for Years.[edit]

Then Digicel came along and took over sponsorship But many questions were raised along with eyebrows. The West Indies Cricket Board had an internal investigation but in the end said even though there were issues with the way the contract was handled they let it stand. The investigation results were never made public. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.198.210.117 (talk) 21:10, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

East Timor[edit]

Digicel is operating in East timor since 2012 and is sponsoring the football league there, too. Maybe someone can update the article? Greetings, --J. Patrick Fischer (talk) 18:49, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
