Aston Villa[edit]

Where the hell is a piece about Aston Villa winning the European Cup there against Bayern Munich in 1982?

not the most important issue to discuss, although a real Aston Villa fan would disagree. Bokkie 21:58, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correct official name[edit]

The names Feijenoord Stadion, Stadion Feijenoord and Stadion Feyenoord are used. At least the last one is wrong officially, since only the football team changed the ij into y. The designer of the letters on the fence made a mistake btw. As far as I know Stadion Feijenoord is the correct name. Bokkie 21:57, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I second this. On both [1] (website of the club) and [2] (website of the stadion operators) only the name "Stadion Feijenoord" is used. Also the name of the company which operates the stadion is stated as "Stadion Feijenoord N.V." on their website. -- Kju (talk) 12:18, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Capacity change[edit]

The capacaty of the stadium as of augus 2008 is 51.577. The expanded a little bij re aranging chairs on the second tier. I'll try and find a reference. Knijert (talk) 07:51, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feijenoord StadionDe Kuip — The WP:COMMONNAME for this stadium is surely De Kuip - no-one calls it Feijenoord Stadion, most people don't even know that this is its "official" name. Google book search for "Feijenoord Stadion" rotterdam gives 95 results, whereas "de kuip" rotterdam gives 6,800.Ilikeeatingwaffles (talk) 10:23, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support I'd never ever heard it referred to as the Feijenoord Stadion - only as De Kuip. пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:52, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - like Number57, I've only ever encountered 'De Kuip'. GiantSnowman 22:12, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. I've always known it as De Kuip and I've only ever heard it referred to as such. UEFA makes no reference to Feijenoord Stadion. Argyle 4 Lifetalk 11:46, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
