Notability and request for speedy deletion[edit]

David Leach is one of the most important people in the field of British studio pottery in the 20th century. He was the son of Bernard Leach, who was the major figure in the creation of the studio pottery movement in the UK, and he was the person who put his father's St Ives pottery on a sound technical and commercial footing. His porcelain is highly regarded. He was awarded the O.B.E in 1987 for his work in studio pottery and his services to education. When I have time I'll add some sources that note his importance, but I won't be able to do the research for a couple of weeks. If anyone else is able to do in the meantime, I'd appreciate it.
