There are a few edits on wiki in which people failed to realize that David Berman (singer) and David Berman (writer) are one and the same. i've gone to certain measures to fix that (adding this to this page, fixing David Berman (disambiguation) and a broken link off the Open City article), but further help would be lovely. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.250.71.200 (talk • contribs)

Substance abuse[edit]

In citation [2] it only says that he overdozed on Xanax. Perhaps we should have sources for the other drugs and alcohol that's mentoined? Modul8r (talk) 15:23, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Need reliable source for this[edit]

In early 2003, The Houston, Tx.-based theater group Infernal Bridegroom Productions staged a theatrical interpretation of Actual Air, which featured selected poems from Berman's book, as well as three live covers of Silver Jews songs, with Berman's blessing.^{[citation needed]}

Though he was a reluctant live performer as a musician, Berman occasionally did readings of his short stories and poems in both the US and the UK. His accomplished and trademark sardonic lyrics were compared by some to Bob Dylan, and his poetry was known to examine overlooked aspects of everyday life as well as chance and often hilarious juxtapositions.^{[citation needed]}

The source only lists Malkmus' - do you think it should be mentioned either way or left as is?

refs 32 and 81 are the same (Sackllah, David (August 8, 2019). "Remembering David Berman, An Artist Who Often Approached Perfection")

I've checked 20 or 30 refs, and everything seems to be ok. The sources are reliable, and I saw nothing wrong, all quotations are appropriate and valid.

So, please remove duplicated link, and maybe do something with that sentence about aliases (though it's up to you, it would be fine either way), and I think I'll pass the article as a GA. Artem.G (talk) 16:17, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

From the lead " and undertook the band's first tour with his wife, Cassie Berman." The bands first tour, or their first tour with his wife. Also the word "undertook" is a press release cliché (same for 'embarked' etc), can we avoid pls. Ceoil (talk) 11:10, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To relieve the excessive bundling of citations, I am going to implement SFN tags to improve the readability significantly. The current citation style will be changed. Cassie Berman in Purple Mountains[edit]
