Untitled[edit]

It would be good to get some pictures of the nativity scene (etc) on this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.109.140.249 (talk) 12:59, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

there are currently a lot of controversies about whether this pagoda is Nestorian/Christian at all.

The local Buddhist community and some Chinese scholars have argued that the 1998 "rediscovery" was a conspiracy by certain British missionary and the local artifact protection bureau to get funding. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.89.149.134 (talk) 20:44, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite[edit]

I entirely agree with the doubts that have been expressed above, and have substantially rewritten this article to place Martin Palmer's tendentious claims in context. The rewrite still needs a few footnotes, but it is substantially better than the previous version of the article, which uncritically swallowed the farrago of nonsense that appears in The Jesus Sutras.

I'm glad someone got around to editing this article to improve it. I'm glad that it has been a scholar so eminent as yourself, Dr. Wilmshurst. --jrl 07:19, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

I’m glad that this rewrite was not made. Ripleysnow (talk) 06:34, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
