Ending credits[edit]

On Opeth's first live DVD, Lamentations, Mikael Åkerfeldt notes after "Ending Credits" that the song is a ripoff from a song by Camel. However, he does not state which song, and a quick google search does not yield any result. More information about this for an extra note/trivia would be nice :). Acoustic Genre[edit]

Hi, I think acoustic should be removed as it is not a proper genre and is poorly sourced, the one source about.com is classed as an unreliable source and the other source which is reliable actually is a link to a different album Ghost Reveries, plus the album isn't really acoustic, what do you think? Lukejordan02 (talk) 23:50, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support: About.com is not a reliable source per WP:ALBUM/SOURCES (unless this specific case is somehow reliable, which will need to be demonstrated). Regardless of the other source (which, while reliable, barely mentions this album, and calls it "acoustic-tinged"; hardly a ringing endorsement for including it as a genre), the article to which this links is acoustic music, which does not at any point assert that "acoustic music" is a genre (if we're linking to an article in the "genre" field, it needs to be an article on a genre, per Template:Infobox album). This article definitely needs a Musical Style section, in which the fact that the album is performed entirely on acoustic instruments can be discussed (at least, I'm assuming it does, from what I've read it does anyway). But "acoustic music" isn't a genre, and shouldn't be listed in the infobox. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 00:38, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not weighing in with an opinion, but I feel the need to clarify what I said to User:Lukejordan02—I genuinely thought that About.com was on the list of approved review sites (the article keeps changing and is not on my watchlist), therefore disregard whatever I said about (heh) it. I was misinformed. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 00:48, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's fair, it was only decided to be unreliable a few months ago, and you're right, it does change rather often. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 00:51, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support — The genre is not properly sourced. About.com can not be considered a reliable source for these issues, while the other one, Popmatters, offers a review on another album.--Retrohead (talk) 08:22, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – I don't accept 'acoustic' as a genre at all, at least until someone writes a fully sourced article about it being one. Per MrMMM, it doesn't even appear that the sources even back it up as pertaining to this album. Bretonbanquet (talk) 22:01, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - There needn't be an article (WP:OTHERSTUFF) for "acoustic" to be considered a genre, only if the source(s) says it is a genre. With that said, the only acceptable source cited, PopMatters, does not explicitly say this is an acoustic album. FTR, it does not explicitly say this is a progressive rock album neither.
