These are still all "according to reports". A newspaper can say anything "is reported": if it is later shown to be untrue, they simply need to say "it is true that it was reported, and that is all we said". I very unfortunate juxtaposition of quotes: his brother says he tried to throttle his father, and Kiwomya says he would do anything for his loved ones (including kill them?). I'll remove Kiwomya's quote: it adds nothing to understanding what happened, and Atkinson's adequately summarises typically responses of colleagues. Atkinson was an unarmed man who was tasered by the police, which caused his death.
