Comment[edit]

Any plans for International flights to and from Da Nang in regard to U.S.A. flights? It would be FANTASTIC to be able to take a flight from Los Angeles to Da Nang and back or vise-versa. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.224.0.20 (talk) 05:10, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dioxin/UXO cleanup[edit]

There should be a section in this article related to the ongoing efforts to clear the airport of dioxin/Agent Orange contamination and of unexploded ordnance (UXO). A quick Google search will reveal many Vietnamese news articles focusing on this issue, and although there are fewer American media impressions, there are a number of official American gov't sites that discuss cleanup efforts in terms of humanitarian aid. Of note is that all sources note that Da Nang Airport is considered to be one of three dioxin "hot spots" in Vietnam.

See, for example, an article posted by the American Embassy in Hanoi: Vietnam Begins UXO Clearance to Prepare Dioxin Clean-up Effort in Danang. There's also a set of flickr photos that are importable into Commons as works of the US gov't. There's also an MSNBC article that mentions the cleanup and gives a few specifics. --dragfyre_ʞןɐʇc 16:49, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge With Da Nang Air Base[edit]

There is no good reason why there are 2 articles about the same airfield. They should be merged together without losing content.

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:
