There's been a few different attempts to describe the Nirvana personnel, and I don't think we've found the right one. There are other "surviving members" of Nirvana (Jason Everman, and their many other drummers). The people who were on this song (Krist Noveselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear) were just the members (or even some of the members) who were part of the band when it ended. Pat Smear was even just a touring member. Maybe it should say something like "Paul McCartney and three surviving members of Nirvana" (not the three).
