Needs a war info box[edit]

Currency wars are wars, nonetheless. With real casualties. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.38.2.103 (talk) 12:08, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you, but we'd need a source that at least trys to estimates how many have died due to the extra economic disruption it caused. Do you know of one?
I see you're posting from coastal Spain. So you probably know that in many Spanish towns, communal bins are being scavenged for food almost 24/7. There are now beggars outside almost every Mercadonar and Carrofour, something one hardly saw at all before 2012. Outrageously, hundreds of Spaniards are quietly dying in their homes from hunger. But these things are not reported in the English press at all to my knowledge, they dont even seem to be well covered in the Spanish sources. Much less does anyone link it with the currency war (even I wouldnt say the currency war is a major cause, though it was an aggravating factor for much of the economic decline these past couple of years - worldwide it was almost certainly responsible for thousands of needless deaths). I may commission someone to write about this untold story at some point, but for now Wikipedia rules mean we cant refer to it unless its covered in reliable sources.
