No subject[edit]

- There need not be an internal link for every imaginable article on Wikipedia. It begins to look cluttered with links. Also, we should consider moving the Justice picture towards the bottom of the page or elsewhere, as the intro looks very crowded --Davesawyer 20:22, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GA nomination - on hold[edit]

Fixes are needed before it can become GA:

  • Use <ref> tags for inline citations. Citations should all be under a ==References== section.
  • Find more inline citations.
  • There are too many lists in the article. Integrate the information in 'Notable facts' into paragraphs.
  • Style: In headings, only first character and proper nouns are capitalized.
  • Don't create external links in the main article body. They should all go under the 'External links' section.
  • Likewise, only mention and link to the most important student organizations.
  • There should not be a 'Internal Wikipedia Links' section.
  • 'History' should be expanded, and be the very first section. There's a '(WORKING)' message at the end of it too.
  • In Firefox, but not Internet Explorer, the first image is pushing the table of contents sideways, creating a big gap. The 'Deans' section has as similar problem. Images should never be put on the top left corner of the page. Also, the 'Memory Leake Robinson Hall' picture partially blocks out the adjacent heading.

Failed[edit]

It's been in excess of the 7 day maximum that the GA nomination was put on-hold and issues relating to the original reviewer's comments still exist. Specifically, refs, in-line cites and others. Please re-read his commentary and use it as constructive criticism to improve upon the article. Do try again when you have everything sorted. Review by Ruslik0[edit]

I failed this article because it doesn't seem to comply with the rules governing the lists incorporation. A half of the article consists of lists. The lists should be diluted with a prose on moved into separate articles before the article can renominated. Ruslik 10:15, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cumberland Law School Seal.JPG[edit]

Image:Cumberland Law School Seal.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

USNWR Ranking[edit]

Why does Cumberland's U.S. News and World Report ranking keep getting pulled from this article? Other law school articles have their ranking listed. Why not Cumberland?

Image copyright problem with Image:HORTON.jpg[edit]

The image Image:HORTON.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Objective sources needed[edit]

Of the 72 sources cited for this article, 35 are from the school's own website; an additional 16 are from a single book. A greater diversity of objective sources is badly needed. --64.252.65.118 (talk) 05:34, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
