The News Huddlines[edit]

Appearance on Animals[edit]
It is held by many that Margaret Thatcher is one of the pigs from "Pigs (Three Different Oness)" by Pink Floyd. I'm considering adding that to the music section... Sir Ian (talk) 13:03, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

From his article: "Steve Bell is probably best known for the daily strip called If..., which has appeared in The Guardian newspaper since 1981, and since the mid-1990s he has also been that newspaper's principal editorial cartoonist. One of Bell's most famous caricatures is of John Major as a dire superhero wearing his Y-fronts on the outside of his clothes, in a parody of Superman. Bell also claims to be the first cartoonist to have spotted Margaret Thatcher's mad left eye, as well as the fact that Tony Blair shares this unusual feature." I think he also deserves a mention in this article, but not sure where. I seem to remember that Thatcher was also a favourite target for cartoonist Gerald Scarfe, but perhaps this is not really notable. I'm concerned at the sweeping statement that she was seen mostly as a hate-filled miserly figure. Isn't that a little unbalanced? Some depictions portray her that way, but others are more favourable. Needs investigating. Paul MacDermott (talk) 12:35, 14 April 2013 (UTC)

Is this work, by award-winning-writer-Mike-Francis-Carvalho-who-is-most-recently-renowned-for-80’s-themed-drama-Vienna-and-controversial-Edinburgh-Fringe-production-“Breathe-in”, banned from this article? Doctor Who – The Ultimate Adventure[edit]
I wondered if the 1989 stage play Doctor Who – The Ultimate Adventure should be added to the Theatre section of this article. It features the Doctor meeting a Prime Minister in Downing Street (in 1989) called Mrs T in the script who while not 100% identified as such was obviously based on Margaret Thatcher. Given the inclusion of similar works I think it would make sense, but wanted to seek other views before adding here. Dunarc (talk) 20:05, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
