Rape in Bhutan[edit]

The non-political crime section claims that rape is not an extensive problem in Bhutan. This is not correct. In fact, there is a tradition called "night hunting", which entails young men sneak through the windows to have sex with women at night. While this is supposed to happen only consensually, it is well known that this is often not the case. There is even an article about night hunting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_hunting. There is even a research presentation that claims that 80% of night hunting cases involved coercion: http://www.svri.org/forums/forum2013/Presentations/PchiruShelni.pdf
