Article's subject may be editing this article for self promotion.[edit]

Going through the edit history, a disproportionate amount of the contents of this article has been edited/provided by unregistered IP users located in the user's city/workplace. Combined with the significant coverage for a relatively minor adjunct professor, and the overwhelmingly promotional tone throughout the article - I suggest that the article subject has been editing this page without declaring so. If this is the case, I would encourage the article subject to desist and please review Conflict of Interest. Boredintheevening (talk) 16:16, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

After closely reviewing the article, I am struggling to see how the subject meets notability guidelines for academics, even generously interpreted. The sources referred to throughout the article are either from promotional content, the subject's personal blog/writing, or minor mentions in short news bulletins. Going through the notability guidelines point by point confirms this. The subject's scholarship seems to have had limited impact, subject has not received any highly prestigious honors or awards at national level, subject is not an elected member of a highly selective or prestigious scholarly association, subject has not had a major impact outside of academia, subject has not held any high level appointments in academia etc. Increasingly convinced that this is one of many academic vanity pages on Wikipedia.
