Not so biased...[edit]

An anonymous user just put an NPOV tag on the article, with the comment that it appears to be merely promotion of some expensive, competing technologies. The bit about solar coronagraphs seems to me to be a pretty straightforward report of existing instruments (I'm a little biased -- I did some work on it earlier). While the stuff about planetary coronagraphs leaves a lot to be desired -- it's basically stub-class -- I don't see any cause for NPOV complaint. Anyone else want to chime in? If nobody speaks up, I'll probably remove the NPOV in the next few days. zowie 06:42, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good call, Zowie. Yeah the article needs some work, but it's come a long way since I created it in 2004. Definitely an important article in my book (as it looks like one of the most promising technologies for finding extraterrestrial life and/or intelligence). Any ideas for how we should improve it, zowie? - JustinWick 18:53, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was planning on making major enhancements to this page this spring, when I have some time. There is a lot that can be added regarding current stellar coronagraphs, Hubble Space Telescope coronagraphs (which is my specialty), and designs for extrasolar planet finders, plus a basic description of how stellar coronagraphs work (at least a simple Lyot version). Since I haven't done any solar coronagraphy, I was planning on integrating what is here already with the stuff I will add. Hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes... Photo[edit]

There are amazing corona pictures. This page needs one. There are Corana pictures here but I not think they are using Coronagraph unlike these --Traveler100 (talk) 06:47, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This awful article[edit]

...needs a diagram of a coronagraph. Is that not, like, obvious? VerdanaBøld 23:11, 7 March 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Verdana Bold (talkcontribs)

request clarification[edit]

The "band-limited coronagraph" section contains the word "potangina", which is either very rare or a typo. Perhaps the author can clarify. Chrisjhenrich (talk) 22:19, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
