Band members children[edit]

I think listing the names of band members children is irrelevant to a piece on the Commodores & such details should be removed. Gwladys24 (talk) 17:09, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How come a group such as The Commodores has hardly any references?[edit]

Come on folks. This is one of the super-groups of the 1970's and 1980's. This is unbelievable that the article has been neglected. There is a lot of work ahead. 12:44, 11 August 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr Bill Truth (talkcontribs)

"Zoom"[edit]

The single "Zoom" (1977) is absent from the discography. It was released in the UK, but not in the US. --70.194.67.180 (talk) 01:44, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lionel Richie's departure[edit]

I removed the phrase that said, "Richie's departure was evident after it was mentioned to the band why his distinct sound would never be a part of The Commodores". That didn't make sense to me, because Lionel Richie's sound was a part of the Commodores until he left the group. Many of their biggest hits -- "Three Times a Lady", "Still", "Easy", "Sail On", and others -- were songs that Lionel Richie wrote and sung the lead vocals on. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:24, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unsatisfactory photo[edit]

The current main profile photo is a strange choice, as it only shows two of the three actual members of the group, along with two hired hands. One more representative of the current lineup or even one of them in their 1970s heyday would be far preferable. --Vegan4Life (talk) 07:00, 13 February 2017 (GMT)

Finally, a source[edit]

I finally found the source for this quotation which has been floating around in this article unsupported for years. Hooray and such. (When I saw the source we had before, a self-published book from 2014, I was sure this was a case of citogenesis.) Eman235/talk 18:07, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Commodores[edit]

The band's name is "The Commodores", not just "Commodores". It says so on their website. Wolf O'Donnel (talk) 02:37, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's a lie, and even the website correctly has Commodores, not The Commodores. --Discographer (talk) 19:19, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
