Ah Abbado, how wonderful you are. --ben dummett 11:41, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

His fans call themselves "“Abbadiani", should this be noted? (See: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/21/arts/21abba.html?_r=1&oref=slogin) Dehbach 01:42, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please find a better picture for the great man?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.110.120.240 (talk) 12:15, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

He has held many of the most prestigious positions in the world of classical music (...) is true, but it is also very unencyclopedic. I am revoving this sentence from the intro. Let's keep the tone of the article neutral.--Karljoos (talk) 17:53, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The same applies to Claudio Abbado has an interesting family history (...). --lmaxmai (talk) 12:03, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The entire page reeked of subjective and non-neutral prose. I have tried to clean it up as best as I can. It should be noted that one past editor in the history on this page is Abbado's son Misha. This page needs to watched for potential edit wars. DJRafe (talk) 23:05, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link to Orchestra Mozart article[edit]

I created an article about the Orchestra Mozart which was delted because "ukexpat" and "Alexf" think Chris Crocker is a more legitimate candidate to an encyclopedia article.S.Camus (talk) 11:31, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He's not a senator[edit]

What is with the politican box labeling Abbado as "Senator for Life"? He was not a politician, he was a symphony conductor.Risrosen4 (talk) 00:50, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

From our article: On 30 August 2013, Giorgio Napolitano, the President of Italy, appointed Abbado to the Italian Senate as a Senator for life, in honour of his "outstanding cultural achievements". -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 01:00, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shame on you Wikipedia ![edit]

If you aspire to being an encyclopedia, you are going to have to do much better than this ! This article is unworthy of such a distinguished, legendary conductor. "Low importance biography" category ??? Get your priorities right pls !!! 84.196.171.49 (talk) 01:29, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracies with youthful rebelliousness[edit]

It was impossible that he wrote on the wall lauding Bartok under a period of Gestapo control at the age of 12. He had his 12th birthday one month after the fall of Nazi control (see the dates here: Italian Social Republic) and liberation by the Allies.Dogru144 (talk) 20:05, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

incorrect photo[edit]

That is not Abbado, but the president of the italian republic during one of abbado's concerts, as the description in italian confirms! 2001:982:7A85:1:ACC9:624F:B6F6:59E7 (talk) 11:42, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
