About this draft[edit]

The draft is a translation of an article originally written in the Romanian language, article which was already published/approved on the Romanian Wikipedia - https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christos_Metskas

Also, the original article in Romanian was translated into the Spanish language and already published/approved on the Spanish Wikipedia - https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christos_Metskas

There are no more independent sources to be added as references, those already mentioned being all which exist and which are in the Romanian language. Reference no. 1, is to an article published in an online journal of national coverage in Romania, while references no. 2 and 3 are to some articles published in two online journals of local/regional coverage, although accessible everywhere. References no. 4, 5 and 6 prove the existence (show the covers) of the books mentioned in the Bibliography. The books mentioned by the references no. 4 and 5 are biographical, while that mentioned by reference no. 6 is about the history of the city of Arad, Romania, where the Football Club UTA Arad has its headquarters and stadium. The name of Christos Metskas is mentioned by all the six references provided.

Also, the name of Christos Metskas is mentioned in both the Romanian and the Spanish language Wikipedia articles of FC UTA Arad, the club of which senior team he played with most of his career:

Romanian - https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_UTA_Arad

Spanish - https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_UTA_Arad

and wasn't added by the author of the original, biographical article in Romanian about the former player and coach, but previously, by other users. The author of the original article in Romanian about Christos Metskas and also its translator into Spanish and English (draft) added only the links to his biographical articles. Edit request[edit]

1. "Metskas went on to become a regular starter for Arad ..." in the "Club career" paragraph should be changed to "Metskas went on to become a regular starter for UTA ...". He was a starter for the club (UTA), not for the city (Arad, Romania) where the club is based.

2. Here's an external source, aside from the biographical books at current references [7] and [8], which mentions the number of matches he played for UTA - https://jurnalul.ro/sport/un-deces-anuntat-batrana-doamna-isi-da-ultima-suflare-144155.html

The number of goals he scored is mentioned in the book at current reference [8].

3. Interesting information that could be added to the article: At the source at the following link, Metskas states that although he was called up three times, he could not play for the Romanian national team, because he did not have Romanian citizenship. - https://www.sportarad.ro/2013/10/23/christos-metskas-grecul-aradului-ii-avertizeaza-pe-tricolori-va-fi-vacarm-la-atena/ CristianMetcas (talk) 14:34, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request 2[edit]

In order to match the truth, as it is written in the book now at reference [10], there must be done an important correction to the second phrase of the first paragraph of my father's managerial career.

So, instead of:

"Between 1972 and 1974 he worked as coach of Gloria Arad,[2] afterwards in the 1974–1975 championship he coached Stăruința Dorobanți,[2] and since 1975 until 1979 he worked as assistant coach of Strungul Arad, the main coach being Emanoil Gherghel.[4]"

it should be:

"Between 1972 and 1974 he worked as coach of Gloria Arad[2] and in the 1974–1975 championship he coached Stăruința Dorobanți.[2] Since 1975 until 1979 he worked as a coach of the republican juniors' team of the club Strungul Arad and in the 1975–1976 championship round he also worked as assistant coach of the senior team of the same club, the head coach being Emanoil Gherghel."

Everywhere else in the text of the article "republican junior team" should be replaced with "republican juniors' team".

The correction concerning the managerial career should be also made in the infobox, as you can see in the Romanian version of the article. ~~~~ CristianMetcas (talk) 17:03, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
