Autobiography

Hynde has written an autobiography (ref: Ebury Publishing]Ebury Publishing http://www.eburypublishing.co.uk/editions/chrissie-hynde-memoir/9781785031441 ). Kind of surprised this hasn't been picked up before now, as it was published on the 8th September 2015. I'll add a basic text section but maybe someone can complete the detail when they get a moment. where's Chrissie?

There is no reference to Chrissie, what everybody calls her, anywhere in the lead? the whole thing should be a redirect to Chrissie Hynde 71.183.193.154 (talk) 23:47, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Fan style

Once into "artistry," NPOV is gone and we begin getting 'rock writing' or just plain fanboi stuff. I came over simply to find birth date and the date of The Pretenders's first record and then began reading. The "other recordings" section is . . . excessive. While encyclopedias should be encyclopedic, they don't always need "color" for each entry. (E.g. the cover of Gram Parsons's "She" is very fine, but having a sentence about how it combines the reggae tinged picking of Chrissie with the country rock of Emmylou is typically something from the old free weeklies or mimeographed fanzines.

Yes, "sofixit," except that I don't have the expertise. Also, folks, it's standard style not to refer to an author, artist, singer, or historical figure by her or his first name. I'm not sure where and when this invidious habit began, but it seems to be common these days for people to write, "Edgar writes that the black cat had a gallows looking white mark on its breast. This is when I knew he was crazy! The novel The Black Cat by Edgar Allan Poe is one of the best Edgar ever wrote." Unless Ms. Hynde's publicist is writing the entry, "Chrissie" should not be used.
