CH & CoG[edit]

Can anyone elaborate on Hillman's connection with the Children of God cult? Thanks. And the Chris Hillman physicist?

Birth date and image[edit]

Derek:
I see you have contributed. I bet you're much smarter and technologically adept than I.
Could you please activate the photo of Chris Hillman... It's from Hillman's website press kit, so there is no copyright problem. In fact, Chris asked me to stick it up there. I couldn't figure out how to display it.
Also, Chris told me he was born in 1944, not 1942, so I changed that. Couldn't figure out how to change IMDB.com, from where you got the 1942 date.
Thanks.

I added a picture that I took of Chris to the article, so there is no question about copyright status with the current picture used in the article. Also, I see that someone (92.5.22.240) today (May 12, 2008), changed Chris's birth date information back to 1942 for whatever reason. I looked up information on Chris in Johnny Rogan's book, The Byrds: Timeless Flight Revisited — The Sequel, and on page 41 it says, "Christopher Hillman, the youngest of four children, was born on 4 December 1944..." Also, the Allmusic Guide lists December 4, 1944 as his birth date too.[1] So, I reverted to the previous version. Leepaxton (talk) 00:10, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Father was Jewish[edit]

Read somewhere that Hillman's Father was Jewish and that his Mother was a gentile Christian can't remember which faith... Catholic, Presbyterian, Protestant... Regardless... Thought this would be interesting trivia to put in. Since most of the Byrd band members were predominantly of Christian background. :) (58.160.93.113 (talk) 15:14, 21 January 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Kentucky Colonels.[edit]

When Hillman was 15 (1960) the Kentucky Colonels would have been called the Country Boys, as they weren't the Kentucky Colonels until 1963 when they released their first album — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.236.182.202 (talk) 22:21, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
