Chongming County and Chongming Island

I have created two seperate pages for the Chongming County and the Chongming Island in the German version of this article. I have decided to move everything related to geography to the island page and everything related to politics and administration to the county page. Origination of Chongming

Political bias in description of the islands of China was removed. Grammar and non-existent links removed. Did Chongming Island really appear due to a change in the water level of the river, or just due to shifts in the silt of the river bed?76.22.21.70 08:50, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
