Why is this entry included?[edit]

Why is this entry included as a disambiguation for Chernobyl ... ? ---> Artemisia vulgaris, the common mugwort plant. I don't see any connection. What am I missing? Also, if -- indeed -- there is some connection between the terms "Chernobyl" and "Artemisia vulgaris", this article/list should make the connection more evident/explicit. Thanks. Joseph A. I still don't see why it belongs here. "Chernobyl" doesn't "refer to" the mugwort plant in English. Just like "Shanghai" doesn't refer to "seaside", and "Algiers" doesn't refer to "islands" in general. I'm also not convinced about the claim that the city is "named after" the plant. "Cherno-" ('black') and "-byl" ('grass') are evidently extremely generic and frequent components, both of place names and potentially of plant names, so just because the same combination happens to be both the name of a specific city and the name of a specific plant doesn't necessarily mean the one was named after the other. I am not 100% sure about this, either way. You make a good point. But, also, the purpose of disambiguation is to "redirect" or guide readers to similarly-named articles. If not kept within the list proper, perhaps it can be listed as a "See also" entry. I'll try that for now. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 02:29, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
