Objection to merger[edit]

Sorry, folks, but I object to the proposed merger. According to Wikipedia guidelines, two articles should be merged if they are on the same subject. Here, the two articles are about two different people - married to one another, true, but that does not make them one and the same.

The fact that CW Dorsett was a minor politician in a minor political party is not good enough grounds to relegate him to a footnote on someone else's bio page. Suppose someone wants to learn about the Prohibition Party? Are they supposed to search not only for the names of party candidates, but also for their spouses?

I also suggest that the brief summary of Mrs. D be deleted - I'll check back in a few weeks and do it myself, unless there is a serious objection.Cbdorsett 11:40, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
