Bibliography[edit]

I have commenced a Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue. Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the subject is a notable literary and journalistic figure in Paris. His work has been widely published in major publications. Please retain. SiefkinDR (talk) 15:41, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed updates[edit]

Hello. I am Charlie's wife and am helping him update this page and provide sources in response to the notes asking for more substantiation. We would love for someone to sub in the following first paragraph:

Charles Trueheart (born September 5, 1951) is an American writer, former newspaper correspondent and non-profit executive. He was a reporter for The Washington Post from 1986 to 2000 and director of the American Library in Paris from 2007 to 2017.

And we would like to add a new second paragraph:

His book on Vietnam during the Kennedy years, Diplomats at War: Friendship and Betrayal on the Brink of the Vietnam Conflict, will be published by the University of Virginia Press in February 2024.

Also, the paragraph about me is out of date and should be updated or removed. I suggest

Trueheart is married to Anne Swardson, a retired Washington Post correspondent and ex-editor at Bloomberg News. She now blogs and writes Paris-based mystery fiction. They have two grown children.

Thank you to anyone who is willing to take this on. I'm sorry if these suggestions are not in the proper format. Anneinhistory (talk) 15:43, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
