Unsourced material[edit]

This whole article is unsourced apart from a 2005 article behind a paywall. I have not been able to find any more recent information from good sources. I have removed potentially contentious parts. It's debatable how notable the material is anyway.

Notable?[edit]

This is clearly a vanity page. It's linked to from his own website... Middling diplomats? Seriously? Pistachiones (talk) 13:47, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

See the first point of WP:ANYBIO re the CMG. I would not call an ambassador a "middling" diplomat, especially not the British ambassador to Bosnia, Serbia and then Poland. That is a senior diplomat. Vanity page or not (and I would dispute it is) he is clearly notable enough for an article. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:08, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't classify this as a "vanity page", but it does read like a CV, and clearly needs some work. Here's a pointer to some less flattering aspects, from a fellow ex-ambassador.

Listen to his reflections...[edit]

I think that paragraph should be turned into an external link, not embedded in the article. --Haruo (talk) 05:51, 13 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
