Ecliptic and Cetus[edit]

Should it actually be mentioned that Cetus is so close to the ecliptic, that a part of the sun passes through Cetus, during a couple of hours each year? It's quite fascinating, I think... Fomalhaut76 (talk) 13:28, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some astrologers since the 1990s designated Cetus, whenever the sun crosses the "whale's tail" between April 20 and 30, a new zodiac sign between Pisces and Aries of the newly adopted sidereal astrological zodiac, due to the shift in the ecliptic where the sun, moon and planets orbit the solar system. 71.102.24.62 (talk) 04:38, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation[edit]

It's /ˈsiːtəs/ but in the genitive surely it's not /ˈsiːtaɪ/ or /ˈsiːsti/... In Star Trek Ceti Alpha V is /ˈsǝti/. Also Tau Ceti. What do people think? -- Evertype· 20:48, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
