The word "minors" is unfortunate.[edit]

Whilst of course it is totally correct, in the DYK link that points here it looks like a spelling mistake, that it should be "miners". If they are under 18, it would seem to be just as correct, and far less misleading, to refer to them as "children". Old_Wombat (talk) 11:12, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment as Start class for Crime WikiProject[edit]

After reading this article, I am not clear about what parties are being alleged to have committed which crimes. There is no real cohesion in the article, so I am left confused. Therefore, I fail to understand why this article has been rated as a C class article. The references are there but the key information is not. Like: What were the irregularities in 2005? Why are children being admitted to the shelter and by whom? Is this backed by a child protection legal process or is this a charity providing a voluntary child welfare aid directly to families? It took me a while to even work out where this is happening in Mexico. The information in the lead section does not really summarize the case, rather it looks like the precursor events are in the lead along with some allegations then the article jumps into one case then another group of cases in the different sections. There is no background about the way the Mexican justice system and social services are expected to handle child care, protection and welfare cases or explanation of the legal status of children and parents before Mexican law. The sections do not provide an accessible structure; they only serve to divide the text up and disorganize it. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 01:27, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Article Evaluation Project[edit]

I recommend that the article could include some background about how in the Casitas del Sur Case, it led to awareness about how there were a network of similar shelters that used Christianity as a cover for trafficking and abuse, or also the role of Jorge Erdely Graham in the crime as well. These viewpoints may be underrepresented. The article is well written and draws from a wide array of sources. Alecprofit (talk) 15:27, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
