Something should be added[edit]

I'll echo my comment at Talk:Matthew Stafford. Although it is impossible for him to officially be a member of the Colts before the new league year starts, there is absolutely no reason why we can't mention that a trade has been agreed to. --Bongwarrior (talk) 19:03, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. In situations like this, the trade should be mentioned and something about not being official until the new league year should be included. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.200.84.108 (talk) 15:18, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seems like a pretty well defined line to just mention the news of a trade, I feel that is notable and if worded correctly with the right source, no reason to omit it from his page. Although it could potentially break WP:RECENTISM I think WP:COMMONSENSE trumps it with the content matter at hand. This information adds to the readers experience and knowledge, not subtract from the Encyclopedic experience, I'm for adding it with correct [[WP:RS] EliteArcher88 (talk) 23:24, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
How about this: I remember from the Alex Smith trade to Washington, the section was already added prior to the league new year on March 14, 2018. Here is an archived edit of Alex Smith from March 11, 2018 prior to the trade becoming official linked here. The paragraph was there for a month being there as early as January 31 linked here. It can work saying the trade was agreed too but we don't have to change the team until March 17. Swagging (talk) 15:45, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nfl record clarification needed[edit]

It says Carson has a record for throwing 4K yards and no 500 yard receiver. This is misleading because the eagles had multiple players with more than 500 receiving yards that year. The actual record is that there were no players with 500 receiving yards who played the wide receiver position. Suggested edit would be to add the word “wide” in front of receiver. 68.83.102.91 (talk) 12:06, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In the section entitled "Career awards and highlights," the subsection "NFL records" states that one of his records is "Most consecutive games with at least one touchdown pass with one interception or less: 22 games, surpassing Matt Ryan's 21 from December 2015–September 2017." Two edits should be made: add "regular season" before "games" and after "Most consecutive"; the other edit is that Patrick Mahomes and Kirk Cousins have since tied this record. Mahomes did it from October 2019 - December 2020, and Cousins did it from November 2020 to December 2021. Thomasbeem (talk) 21:41, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
