Is this a press release from a record company?[edit]

I mean, really, come on.

I don't know who made the comment above, but I have to ask the same thing. I'm going to revert back to an earlier version. Firstly the tone is not acceptable or encyclopedic and the language has not been changed to update it to the present tense - it was written a couple of years ago and it shows. Some of it is taken verbatim from the copyrighted Australian Idol website, and other parts from Live Guide website, which does not show a copyright notice, but even so, we don't just copy and paste from other websites. This has multiple issues. Wikipedia is not here to help promote Carl Riseley and the fan-magazine tone is completely wrong. Please work on improving the quality of the article to reflect the facts. Riseley is a notable performer and deserves better than this. The previous version I'm reverting to is not perfect, but it is more fitting with Wikipedia's standards.
