Untitled[edit]

Hi Folks, can anyone find an authoritative reference for the influence of Carl Larsson's grandfather? To claim that "Carl's artistic talent was probably inherited from his grandfather on his mother's side, who was a painter by trade." seems specious. Artistic talent has no proven genetic link, nor does there seem to be a link between painting houses and painting watercolours. From all I've read of Carl Larsson, his talent was discovered and encouraged by the school system, not his family. I have found no reference to his grandfather's encouragement in any text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthias.b.good (talkcontribs) 19:49, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just add it, if you find some. Where DID you read that part? Swedish refs are fine too. Hafspajen (talk) 13:55, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

books[edit]

Please add details about the books by Carl Larsson. Most of the versions floating around these days seem to be derivative mish-mashes, far from the originals! The ISBN numbers listed in the article do not seem to refer to reproductions of the original text and illustrations. Are there any published versions of the original text translated to English?-71.174.185.30 (talk) 22:19, 13 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
