Pyrimidine synthesis[edit]

I thought that the pyrimidine synthesis reaction was carried out by a distinct but related enzyme, carbamoyl phosphate synthase II? Should there be 2 articles? Gccwang 23:16, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Carbamoyl phosphate synthetase I[edit]

Should this enzyme formally be called carbamoyl phosphate synthetase I, since it consumes ATP? I noted that the deficiency disease (carbamoyl phosphate synthetase I deficiency) uses this terminology.

This article duplicates information found in the article Carbamoyl phosphate synthetase I, which (as noted by the previous comment) is the correct name. Since there will be no information lost, i'm redirecting from this page to that one ... Sbmehta (talk) 21:30, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
