Upper case[edit]

I originally posted this at Errors but not with much time on the Main Page left, hence I shall move this query to here: Why is "capture" in Capture of Wakefield in upper case? I would have just changed it but it’s the same in the target article's lead. It was already like this when it went through the FA review. Schwede66 22:55, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Schwede66: No good reason! It's now been changed to lower case in the lead. At some point I should go through my other articles and check for this inappropriate 'proper nouning' of titles in the lead sentences, at some point I just slipped into the habit. Cool. I made a call at the 11th hour and changed it to lower case while it was on the Main Page. I'm glad I didn't step on anyone's toes. Schwede66 08:16, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it most odd that this was correct through the GAN and the MILHIST ACR; the change was initiated during the FAC based on the review by User:CPA-5. (It should be customary at FAC for the @FAC coordinators: to scrutinize everything in the lead before promoting.) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 12:24, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Dear me, style recommendations do change you know, and back when this was promoted putting the action in title case was quite acceptable. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 15:30, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am just noticing it's a four-year-old promotion, but I did note that it made it through GAN and ACR without the error. Bst, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:47, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
