wrong population count ?[edit]

Hi, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have updated population numbers on both articles; they were all outdated. I used the most recent number from the Vatican City State website in Italian. The micronation now has a huge per capital COVID-19 rate of 1%. Stay healthy! Digits with digits[edit]

Image in infobox[edit]

Removed per MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE "Images must be significant and relevant in the topic's context, not primarily decorative." and MOS:LEADIMAGE "Lead images should be natural and appropriate representations of the topic; they should not only illustrate the topic specifically, [but other things too]".

A picture of the Vatican is not relevant to the coronavirus and this doesn't solve the issue with the section transcluded at COVID-19 pandemic in Europe#Vatican City. A proper example for what should be included would be COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium. Of course, in this case there is no such map because Vatican City is such a small geographical entity so this might be a case of "not having a lead image may be the best solution if there is no easy representation of the topic." 107.190.33.254 (talk) 14:41, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And what does it have to do with COVID-19? As I said, the images should not be there just for decoration. They're showing St. Peter's Square, at night, empty, which I would assume is not entirely unusual given most of the pictures were taken at night (and the pictures prove me right as, in order top-bottom left-right; they date from: 2006, 2004 and 2009). They have strictly nothing to do with the current situation. As I said, there is no good option for this as including a map would be pointless; and we also have to take care because this is transcluded at COVID-19 pandemic in Europe#Vatican City. If you read LEADIMAGE it is meant to show people that they've landed on the right place. A picture of the Vatican or any other country is a good addition, especially for the unknown places. KittenKlub (talk) 16:07, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The real problem which I've been trying to point out is that this image is transcluded in another article where it is of dubious relevance (since that other article is not about the Vatican but about the pandemic in the whole of Europe). The image of the Pope holding the Good Friday service in front of an empty square might be more appropriate, and would work well in the other article too (with a proper caption). 107.190.33.254 (talk) 16:24, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Source for current numbers?[edit]

Where are sources for current COVID-19 statistics in Vatican City State? A recent edit changed numbers in unexpected ways (recoveries went way down.) The vatican.va Holy See Press Office does not seem to have any COVID-19-related press releases in February. Nor does the Vatican City State official website in Italian.
