We have lost the data on the province's regional recovered cases...[edit]

According to the BCCDC dashboard, the province is no longer counting the accumulative recovered cases in the regional way as of January 21, 2022. 70.66.59.163 (talk) 00:41, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's necessary to remove cumulative recovered cases. It'd probably be enough to put an {{efn}} stating that counting stopped on said date so that readers have an idea of what recovered cases looked like before then. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 06:56, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We are losing more important data for the future updates.[edit]

BCCDC is going to stop recording active cases as well - Since they have already stopped recording the regional recoveries - In the upcoming days because they believe that the data is starting to get less and less accurate. Without the recoveries and active, it is going to highly affect the health bar, weekly statistical data, and the "Cases, Deaths, Recoveries and Vaccination" tables. Thus, it will be harder to perform the daily updates. Any suggestions of what we are going to do when the time comes? By the way, I, sort of, agree with @HighInBC's suggestion where the weekly "Death" graph eventually replaces the current data one... 70.66.59.163 (talk) 01:27, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For any curious editors, the COVID-19 dashboard isn't keeping track of recoveries and active cases anymore. As this was constantly being updated, relevant columns are no longer needed. I'm hoping to get the column removed in about a week, but I'm hoping to hear some input from others. If I don't hear anything I'll assume everyone is okay with the "Active cases" column being deleted in the §Cases, mandates and restriction by health authority table.

There's also a graph which keeps track of recoveries and active cases: "Cumulative cases, deaths, recoveries and active cases". error in death tally in most recent week for covid deaths.[edit]

Hello, there is an error in the death tally for the most recent week for British Columbia, covid deaths.

I check your reports every week. Thank you for the information.

I have no idea what the correct numbers should be...but they didn't jump into the '2000+' in a single week.

Change to weekly reports[edit]

On 7 April 2022, BC switched to weekly reporting on the COVID-19 dashboard and reports. This means that some tables and graphs are affected. I'd like to get any interested editors' opinions on what we should do with these, like keep them with changes or just delete them.

{{COVID-19 pandemic data/Canada/British Columbia medical cases chart}}: This has been a long-running chart since near the start of the pandemic. With this change it's going to become obsolete, which may be a blessing in disguise, as the # of recoveries parameter has been obsolete for quite some time.
§Cases, mandates and restrictions by health authority table: Turn this to being updated weekly on Thursdays with the COVID-19 dashboard?
Statistical data line graphs: I might have to change the heading saying that it is updated weekly on Wednesdays if this is being kept.
{{COVID-19 pandemic data/Canada/British Columbia medical cases}}: Again, this may have to be something that is adjusted to Thursdays instead of Wednesdays.
