Name[edit]

None of the sources appear to show hyphenation, so "Hamilton-Ellis" seems to be wrong.

Is his surname "Hamilton Ellis" or "Ellis"? The British Library catalogue lists him as "Ellis, C. Hamilton (Cuthbert Hamilton), 1909-1987." Art UK lists him as "Artist: Ellis, Cuthbert Hamilton, 1909–1987 ". TheVIAF data lists his "FamilyName" as "Ellis" as his "GivenName" as "C Hamilton" and as "Cuthbert Hamilton". The secondhand copy of British Railway History 1830-1876 which I gave my husband for Christmas says "Hamilton Ellis" on the cover, the introduction refers to him as "Mr Hamilton Ellis" and the preface is signed by "Cuthbert Hamilton Ellis". So I have moved this article to "C. Hamilton Ellis", with redirects from every other plausible variation. PamD 15:27, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
