Sylvain Charlebois[edit]

I don't know who Nosfer ariel65 is, but edits are misguided. Charlebois was the instigator of Buttergate, and the story went viral because of his work. The story came out days before the Calgary CBC person wrote her column. He wrote a tweet, months before hers. Multiple sources, completely overlooked by Nosfer ariels65 suggest s/he aimed to eliminate his work. Some sources: [1]https://financialpost.com/commodities/agriculture/buttergate-the-canadian-dairy-controversy-that-swept-the-world-podcast [2]https://www.npr.org/2021/02/24/971018428/baffled-canadians-spread-reports-of-hard-butter [3]https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-56175784 [4]https://www.intelligencer.ca/news/buttergate-controversy-causing-a-stir-among-alberta-dairy-producers/wcm/8cf8db6f-77cd-4195-bc5e-6306bc2b2fe4/amp/

You can find dozens of other sources on the web. The complete, peer-reviewed story of buttergate is here. The Calgary CBC reporter is not even mentioned: [5]https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S092422442200053X 24.138.38.12 (talk) 23:54, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Here we go again... I know nothing about the situation, but I find it odd that Sylvain Charlebois' name keeps being repeated around Wikipedia. LilianaUwU (talk / contribs) 23:59, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
LilianaUwU, read Talk:Sylvain Charlebois#The situation on fr-wp for some more details. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 00:02, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah, I was there when the last socking incident occured. LilianaUwU (talk / contribs) 00:03, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I did a deep investigation on Buttergate during the last two weeks. Charlebois was not a main investigator of Buttergate. It was Julie Van Roosendal. Her articles had thousands of replies and tweets. In my edits of this page, there was an excessive attribution to Charlebois, who only had an op-Ed against the dairy industry. The page used to mention a tweet from Charlebois about Buttergate, which allegedly went viral. The tweet only had 12 likes and eight re-tweets, so it’s an overreach to imply that he was the one who gave made the Buttergate scandal viral. By contrast, Van Roosendal’s tweets had thousands of replies and re-tweets. Nosfer ariel65 (talk) 18:36, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
