Cheers[edit]

One of the more remarkable things about Bruce Smith's career in Buffalo was to hear the home-game cheers after a sack. For an outsider, it sounds like they're booing, but they were all saying "Bruuuuuuce!" It must have been unnerving to QBs.

Met him, great guy[edit]

I met Bruce at a fundraiser for Boy Scouts on Mar 25, 2009. His big theme was that we must take care of our youth as they are the future; whether it's through sports, Scouts, church, or whatever. He gave great credit to his high school football and basketball coaches, who were both in the audience.
